As an author-photographer living in Toulouse, I took my first images with a film camera, and thus explored the whole process of making a film photograph. In the laboratory, I experimented with film processing and black-and-white printing.
Realizing the immense richness and elegance of the early days of photography, I naturally turned to the older processes. So I set about making cyanotypes, ambrotypes, bromoil prints and daguerreotypes.
Experimenting with chemistry as applied to the sublimity and finesse of nature scenes, as well as portraiture, I continue my search for old techniques and new ways of glimpsing the world, its symbols and its shadows, which I am committed to unveiling.
